How the carrier replies

The carrier opens the link in the message. They see the lane and the goods, and they type a price, a date and a note, or they decline. They do not register.

They can also reply to the order's own email address. The reply is filed on that order. It is not a shared inbox. Do not forward the link to a carrier you did not mean to ask. The link is the permission.
